Ravikumar
Southernmost - Ancient — Hindu — India : will be interpreted differently and many disagree. (There was no “India” term in ancient times; There was no “Hindu” term in ancient times)
Here is my version:
The Southernmost border of Hindu India in ancient / medieval times may be Kanyakumari or Kyusi or Singapore or Sumatra depending on which peninsula one refers.
9th till 13th century is the era of “Hindus", an era of Bhakti movement of Nayanmars and Azhwars patronised by Imperial Chozhas and their determination to drive out Sramanic religions in regions wherever they conqured.
Their influence was not limited to Southern peninsula it extended to Malay Peninsula and beyond.
Their religion is “Saivism”. The official language is Tamil. Sanskrit is used for religious purpose. Common languages are South Asian Languages and South East Asian Languages in South East Asian Subordinates.
So
Think beyond,
Rameshwaram or Kanyakumari…
Eastern Akhanda Chozhas
