Rest have different roots. Some are native tribes like Veddas; Some are migrants at various points in time in history.
The geographic boundaries of present day Tamil Nadu is distinctly different from the place their ancestors migrated and ofcourse Continental Tamils find it difficult to understand their diaelect.
