Were many Buddhist temples converted into Hindu temples in India?

Buddhism is a great religion to follow. Those who follow Buddhism, never believe in idol worship and greedy for other properties.

Unfortunately, religion used politics and politics used religion for their own benefits.

The monks who followed Shramanic religions in their later period used their imagination to create own sects within these religions. Many Pants taken their imagination upto Adhi Bagawan.

They are not nastiks like Shramanic founders and copied rituals of religions who use idol worship.

In the History, 2nd century onwards, following religions was a fashion- like wearing and throwing cloths.

Is Chandra Gupta Maurya, a Jain?

Is Bindusara, an Ajvika or a follower of Brahmanism?

Is Ashoka, who blinded his own son, a Buddhist?

Is Dasrath, a care taker, an Ajvika?

Is Samprati, a Jain? How can a person who ruled for 8 years can construct 175000 temples?

All these low class politicians, or you may say high class emperors made mockery of the people they ruled and people were converted according to the kings whims otherwise they will be executed.

Where Buddhist temples converting into Hindu temples in the entire scheme of things?

Buddhism is a good religion to follow if one follows in true spirit- but the history of kings ruled made its worst.

If we think Tamil Kingdoms provided long strong and stable rules through out the history - it is written in bold everywhere, the period between 3rd-7th century is the darkest period of our History. They do not know from where they came and what language they spoke?
