We, Tamils face a fresh set of invasion by Northies with the help of money minded “God Man” in 21st century. It will be expected to be much severe* (read FAQs) than the damages done by Malik Kafur/ Sultans in 14th century and the British in 18th century.
This movement to “free TN temples” are marketed heavily in North India in 24 x 7 English News Channel of BJP.
I am marking some WhatsApp chats against the “Free TN Temple” movement perceived by public at large in response to Short Film 4.55 min “kovil suththithane” circulated by Isha Foundation.
Do not go by the agenda of "God Man supported by BJP" to loot TN temple treasures.
We had enough looting done by Islamists in 14th century and European in 18th century. Now each and every North Indian politician is eyeing on our Temples.

If the God Man points you that you are charged Rs 20 for special darshan, tomorrow he will charge you Rs 1000 and you stand far away from Tamanna Bhatia who donates a lakh Rs to him.
Employees in temples render jobless (like the subsidy stopped in Gas cylinders slowly), replaced with volunteers to corner the revenue in hands of few.
Like Few of the best Jewels of Devi Meenskshi is with British Queen, they want the remaining jewels to be decorated to the wives of North Indian Politicians.
We had enough in Privitization of Education and Government Supplying Liquor to benefit their partymen. No more in Temples.

Bigger Agenda of God Man:
1.Contrary to popular belief, rulers in Tamil Nadu made the temples as a economic power house in the medieval past, of providing education, medicine, art, employment, construction - entire economic cycle in itself.
2. Temples with no ownership of lost rulers, lost ownership, owners with no heirs, temples in which invaders found it as a golden goose -went into the hands of Government. There are millions of temples, where the ownership is private- managing temples lies with a family or a community. Today also, Government has no business in interfering in those temples.
3.If God Man is really to revamp the non functioning temples which are family owned and cannot run by financial constraints, can he help them with donations and volunteers without altering the ownership, temporarily?
4. Do not believe political parties to make you ill minded.
One National Party, which does not have any solid base in TN, took this agenda along with a Godman in South to cede the temple control to priests and religious goons

the same party ruling a North Indian State Uttarakhand took Government control of over 51 popular shrines despite protests from VHP.
Political Parties think about how to create easy wealth for their party men- in the name of allocating lands for education or take out from temples- even go to the extent of providing liquor to its citizens.
5.The simple truth is that irrespective of religion, few (only few who affiliated to political party netas- INC or BJP) North Indians could not stomach the grandness and wealth of South Indian temples.
6.One needs to be careful that the political parties made an eye for the treasures- we witnessed several such loots during Islamic and European invasions. You can find several Jewels, golds, diamondd, idols all over the globe, especially in Britain, Germany, Portuguese…who looted our temples.
7.During pandemic, INC leaders from far off MP, Rajasthan, Bihar questioned on why South Indian Temples should have so much Gold while people go hunger in their states etc and Whether Gods asked to hoard gold.
8.Do not bring, religion to it. If there is any threat it will be from Political power of Hindus of other regions, using our God Man.
Our towering temples celebrate over 1000 years, and we do not allow our temples to be invaded again, by religious preachers.

We are concerned about protecting our TN temples, not mosques and churches.

India is diverse, Rules should be different for not only religions, in different regions also..
Temples are patronised by the rules in TN. These rulers made Temples, to be circular economies of villages where they located.
BJP is for free TEmples in TN. But BJP Government in Uttarakhand taken over 51 shrines including Badrinath. Badri is one of the Divyadesam of Sri Vaishnavism sect , where the priests are Namboothiris from Kerala.
Is BJP in Uttarakhand following footsteps of TamilNadu or it want to eliminate the Kerala Priest control of Badri?
Q3.You are only talking about the huge temples, but not about thousands of small temples in Tamil Nadu which can't even afford to do puja once a day because whatever collection they get from devotees are taken by the govt.

Temples like Melmaruvaththur, Vellore are private. Sects like Isha, Nityananda, BAPS, ISKCON are private and there are more allegations, irregularities and sex scandald than Government run temples.
Q6. But somehow the rules throughout India is more or less the same for temples , that is collection goes to state govt who gives it to minorities who use it for conversion.
The temple revenue goes to State Government which also looks after less revenue temples.
Do You want it go to “Religious Thandai”s like the way “Kalvi Thandai”s collect through Private Education. Thandai charges 15 Lakhs from student for a 4 year degree and pays 50000 per month digitally to Professors and get back 25000 by cash (black money?) from professors in digital India.

Remember, most of the temples in villages, were built to serve the locals. If anything needs to be done, villagers are taking care of what to do, including whether to light it or not; exact term in tamil is “thalai kattu vari”.
