Is it true that Tamil is the mother of Telugu?

I wonder, why Telugu as a language, does not have any identity on its own.¶

Despite Telugu being, the 3rd or 4th most widely spoken language in India (with 8.2 Cr native speakers, another 1.6 Cr L1 and 1.1Cr L2 Speakers) across 3 states of Andhra, TN and Telangana.

We should blame the native speakers of Telugu to its sorry state of affairs:

In Andhra, mainly brahmins belittle it and identify it with Sanskrit rather than a unique language on its own.

In Tamil Nadu, they mix it and identify with Tamil as majority in TN speak Tamil, the oldest classics.

In Telangana, they mix it with Hyderabadi Urdu for historic reasons.

#Save Talli Telugu from these Orphans.
