If they are only Tamils representing 4% of voters, What about remaining 96% voters in TN?
Dravidian parties are represented by Tamils who knew both the lands.
Example:
Andimuthu Raja is an Indian politician, and an Indian Tamil whose ancestors migrated to Sri Lanka and his grand father returned to India in 1960.
Making issue out of genocide, will not help anything unless islanders themselves settle for an amicable solution within their nation.
Why to blame Dravidian Parties or Kerala Congress or Communist Party of Kerala - political parties in India.
The issue is
In 1960s Sri Lankan Tamils ( Natives and Malayalis who migrated to Sri Lanka in 12th century. they speak Malayalam and Tamil scripts are used for writing) alongwith Sinhalese raised the voice in 1960s to drive out Plantation Tamils from Sri Lanka.
Who are these plantation Tamils?
The British brought them to Sri Lanka in the 19th century as tea and rubber plantation workers (the status of tea plantation worker was well picturised in “Bala” Movie “Paradeshi” in Tamil), and they remain concentrated in the "tea country" of south-central Sri Lanka.
How it started? Majority Sinhalese alongwith another Majority in North Eastern Provinces wanted to drive out Minority Plantation workers in Central Province.
The Indian Tamils of Sri Lanka were considered to be "stateless" and over 300 000 Indian Tamils were deported back to India, due to the agreement between Sri Lanka and India in 1964. Remaining were made Sri Lankan citizens in trenches till 2003.
Result:
Sri Lankan Population is only 2 Cr, one fourth of Indian State of TN and the demographics changed from 1931 to 2012.

In 2012,
Sinhalese : 75% up in 2012 from 65% in 1931
Indian Plantation Tamils:4%(2012) down from 15% (1931)
Sri Lankan Tamils:11%(2012) flat 11% in 1931
Moors:9%(2012) up from 5% (1931)
In a nation of 2 cr population where majority (Sinhalese) cannot take along the minorities and another minority(Sri Lankan Natives and Malayalis) alongwith majority drive out Tamils and made them stateless. Why to blame Dravidian Parties? Why not Kerala Congress? Why not Communist Party of Kerala?
Majority turned against Minority Sri Lankan Natives and Malayalis is another history and now they fight with Sinhalese on Tamil identity. Why to blame Dravidian Parties? Why not Kerala Congress? Why not Communist Party of Kerala?
Now Tamil Nadu is supporting Sri Lankan Malayalis who made Tamils stateless in 1964. Mainland TN is against Own Indian Tamils for the sake of Sri Lankan Malayalis, thanks to Seeman who also has a Malayala ancestry- but interestingly he is heading Nam Tamilar Katchi!!!
