Is Thiruvalluvar a scientist?
- Thiruvalluvar is neither born nor died.
- Thiruvalluvar is neither a Hindu nor a Jain.
- Thiruvalluvar is neither a Scientist nor a mystic.
- It is a speculation.
- He has been given a form, put a whilte beard on his face with a matching costume.
- The fact so far, is that some one, clearing old stuff in baran (mazanine floor) of his house during boghi found a set of palm leaves with these world famous Thirukkural. No body knows beyond that, the rest is all speculation.
- 20th century saw many Tamil Scholars, Tamil politicians took advantage of him and branded him according to their whims.
- Thiruvalluvar has been a “Kama Dhenu” “Kalpa Vriksha” for many scholars. Many made their living with beautiful stories, discourses, explanatory notes around it. Awarded Doctorates, Appeared in TVs, Made a profession in Colleges,in Schools, Become powerful Speakers
- It is possible that many poets would have written this collection of 1330 Kurals.
- It is a Bhagavat Gita for Tamils; Bible for Tamils; Quran for Tamils.
- Tamil students are intelligent as they are asked to memorize 20–50 Kurals in a year.
- It is enjoyable to read a Kural while commuting in buses.
- Better thing would be for us to read each Kural for a day and allow it to sink into you in its original writings with your own understanding. Repeat it for every four years.
- Thirukkural is a greatest “Wisdom” Tamil mother offered for the welfare of Humanity.
