What are the best Hindu Pilgrimage destinations in India?

 Mahopatra

I am not answering directly to your question.

Hinduism is a recent broad term to represent majority of religions originated and practiced in Indian subcontinent.

Within Hinduism, those who worship Vishnu are called Vaishnavites; those who worship Shiv are called Shaivites; those who worship Sakthi are called Sakthas; those who worship Murugan are…

Within Vaishnavism, you may still find many sects

ISKCON follows Gaudiya Vaishnavism

Then there are Sri Vaishnavism which is inclusive of Sri (or Thiru or Lakshmi). Hence the name Tirupati (Pati of Thiru or Lakshmi)

Within Saivism……

Now answer to your question depends where you belong to.

1.Sri Vaisnavites go for a pilgrimage to 108 Divyadesams. 106 are in this planet, and Parkadal and Vaikundam is beyond.

2.Same with Saivites, have Kailash. Those who long for Pitru grace go to Kasi, Rameswaram, Prayag Raj and Gaya.

3.Worshippers of Sakthi have 51 Sakthi peedams.

4.Worshippers of Murugan have 6 aboards.

5.Jains have must visit Samvit Shikar and Palitana.

6.Patels prefer to follow the footsteps of Swami Narayan.

So identify where your ancestors went or wish to go and follow.

If you are a spiritual sight seeing tourist, then cover by region.
